The operator of the digital platform 'Kekaj Online Nepal' has issued a public apology following a formal cybercrime complaint lodged by renowned singer Ramkrishna Dhakal. The dispute escalated after the creator posted videos containing defamatory content and personal attacks against the artist on social media.

Dhakal approached the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau on Thursday, seeking legal action against two Facebook pages for character assassination. In response to the growing legal pressure, the operator, currently based in Japan, released a video message expressing deep regret for his actions and pleading for forgiveness.

In his emotional statement, the creator attributed his behavior to mental health struggles and a momentary lapse in judgment. He claimed to be battling depression and admitted that the controversial video was recorded under the influence of alcohol during a stressful weekend. He emphasized that his intention was not financial gain, stating his income from Facebook is non-existent.

The operator has already begun removing the offensive content from his platforms. He has further committed to refraining from future verbal abuse or controversial political commentary targeting individuals. Describing himself as a hardworking laborer supporting a family, he urged the public and the singer not to pursue further controversy that could jeopardize his livelihood.

The Cyber Bureau has confirmed that Dhakal's complaint is officially registered. Superintendent of Police Dilip Kumar Giri stated that a technical investigation is underway. Under Section 47 of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063, publishing defamatory content online is a punishable offense, leaving the creator's legal fate in the hands of the ongoing probe.
