Despite remaining active in the industry for over two decades, Niraula never had the opportunity to play a leading role until now. Speaking with Nepal News Bank, Niraula described LAJJAWATI as a wholesome family film rooted in a deep love story.

"In today's fast-paced world, people fall in love quickly and often drift toward someone else shortly after. But true love is a deep, enduring connection," Niraula shared. "Real love means desiring and cherishing your partner's happiness above all else—even if circumstances force you apart. LAJJAWATI shows how to love sincerely and how to endure that love when tested."

"In my personal life, when I care for someone, I am fiercely loyal. I am a deeply loving person at heart."
However, he maintains a pragmatic perspective when it comes to real-world heartbreak:
"If someone chooses to leave, you should wish them well and let them be happy. But life must go on. You still have to focus on your career, your family, and your future."

Niraula emphasized that love should not be confused with fleeting attraction.
"Liking someone at first sight isn't love—it's attraction," Niraula noted. "Saying 'I love you' right after meeting someone doesn't make it real. Opening up about his personal life, Niraula shared his desire to settle down following the end of a seven-year relationship a few years ago.
"I genuinely want to get married," he said with a laugh. "Somewhere out there, my future partner is going about her life. I look forward to the moment our paths cross. When I marry, I want to give my wife the same unconditional love, care, and security that she experienced in her own home."
