Kathmandu. A specialist rescue team from the Indian Army has been deployed alongside the Nepal Army to search for and rescue citizens trapped inside the tunnel of the Chilime Hydroelectric Project in Rasuwa due to floods and landslides. In this complex disaster situation, security forces from both countries are conducting a joint rescue operation with high coordination.
Amidst thick sludge, water flow, and darkness inside the tunnel, the team continues its work using state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Indian rescue personnel and Nepal Army technicians are working day and night to reach the depths of the tunnel and safely extract trapped workers and staff.
Meanwhile, significant footage showing the joint rescue operations conducted by teams from both countries inside the Chilime tunnel has been released.
