The makers of the blockbuster "Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi" have unveiled the first glimpse of their latest cinematic venture, "Roll No. 1." The teaser, now live on YouTube, signals a shift toward socially conscious storytelling by addressing the intense academic expectations placed on children in modern society.

The narrative appears to dive deep into the multifaceted challenges of a father-son dynamic, intricately weaving themes of economic hardship with the emotional weight of parental aspirations. By focusing on the "academic race," the film aims to reflect the silent struggles prevalent in many Nepali households where financial constraints meet the drive for educational success.

Directed by Zaun Yonzan and written by Mahesh Dawadi, the production features an expansive ensemble including Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, and Renu Nath Yogi. A talented group of child artists, including Nirvik Regmi and Samyam Katuwal, lead the performances that highlight the central theme of childhood pressure.

Produced by Binod Poudel and Jaanbi Poudel, the film boasts a high-profile technical team with Shivaram Shrestha as DOP and Madan Ghimire as editor. The high-fidelity soundscape is managed by Uttam Neupane, while Rohit Shakya provides the background score, ensuring the film matches the technical standards set by its predecessor.

As the teaser gains traction among audiences, the film is set for a nationwide release on Jestha 15 (May 29). This release is highly anticipated, given the production house's recent track record of delivering stories that resonate deeply with the domestic audience.
