The commercial landscape of Nepali cinema has achieved a documented milestone as 31 films managed to cross the 7 crore rupees earnings mark. This historic evaluation was officially made public by the Film Development Board during its 26th-anniversary celebration.

While the data formally covers the timeline since the establishment of the state board, officials note that it effectively reflects the highest-earning heights achieved across the entire 60-year history of the country's cinematic journey.

Leading this financial chart is the 2081 BS release 'Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi', which secured the top position with an unprecedented gross collection exceeding 46.87 crore rupees. Following it in the second spot is 'Kabaddi 4', a 2079 BS project that accumulated more than 21.40 crore rupees.

The third and fourth positions are held by '12 Gaun' with over 19.92 crore rupees and 'Paran' with more than 17.76 crore rupees respectively. Rounding out the top five is 'Chhakka Panjha 4', which brought in 17.53 crore rupees during its theatrical run.

An analysis of the timeline reveals a massive modern surge in theater business, as 30 out of the 31 listed blockbusters were released after the year 2070 BS. The sole exception from the earlier era is the film 'Aago', which entered theaters in 2058 BS and concluded its run with 7.20 crore rupees.

According to institutional statements from the Board, archiving these box office achievements serves as a critical tool for mapping out the industrial evolution, understanding demographic bonds, and charting the future market expansion of local cinema.
