Indian leader Rajnath Singh visited the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi to sign the condolence book following the devastating flash flood that struck Nepal on 26 August 2026. On behalf of the Government and people of India, Singh extended deep condolences to the citizens and Government of Nepal over the loss of lives and large-scale destruction caused by the natural disaster.
In a statement shared via social media, Singh noted that the tragedy impacted numerous Nepali citizens as well as foreign nationals, including Indian citizens. He offered prayers for the families who lost loved ones and expressed hope for the speedy recovery of those injured during the calamity.
