India Hands Over Second Consignment of Relief Materials to Flood and Landslide Victims in Nepal
Kathmandu, Embassy of India (Press Release): The Government of India has continued its support to families affected by the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal by delivering a second consignment of relief materials. On behalf of the Indian government, Second Secretary Shri Narayan Singh handed over the relief items to Banke’s Assistant Chief District Officer, Mr. Datta Raj Hamal.
This consignment, weighing 21.5 tonnes, includes essential humanitarian aid such as hygiene supplies, medicines, mosquito nets, life jackets, sleeping mats, food items, gum boots, and an inflatable rubber boat with a motor. These materials were transported from India to Nepalgunj today. Further consignments are expected to arrive in the coming days to provide additional support.
In the wake of the destruction caused by recent floods and landslides, the Government of India remains committed to assisting Nepal. India is closely coordinating with the Government of Nepal to ensure all necessary support and aid is extended during this critical time.
