Nepal's Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has officially acknowledged that territorial disagreements persist with China at specific locations along the northern border.

Addressing lawmakers during a parliamentary session on Thursday, the minister clarified that the boundary line with the northern neighbor is not entirely free of contention, though the issues are confined to limited sectors.

He further noted that overall cross-border movement and monitoring activities currently remain low along these northern entry points.

Shifting focus to the southern frontier, the Foreign Minister shared updates regarding ongoing diplomatic engagements with India.

Bilateral discussions are currently centering on the restoration of damaged border pillars and addressing issues related to cross-border occupation.

According to Khanal, the technical border joint-efforts had been halted for a significant period but have now successfully resumed.

Technical experts from both Nepal and India are presently deployed on-site at the border zones, actively moving the pending technical work forward.
