As insecurity grows among religious minority communities in Pakistan, reports indicate a sharp increase in cases of forced religious conversion and marriage. This has also accelerated the migration of minorities from the country.
In particular, adolescent girls from Hindu and Christian communities are being abducted and subjected to forced marriage and conversion. Such incidents not only constitute serious violations of human rights but are also deeply affecting the social fabric.
Human rights activists have urged the government to take strict legal action. However, due to the lack of effective implementation so far, the problem appears to persist unchanged.
