Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has extended an olive branch to dissatisfied factions within the organization. He announced his readiness to grant requested leadership positions to ensure internal solidarity.
Speaking at a party event organized in Kathmandu today, President Thapa emphasized his willingness to collaborate closely with figures currently operating outside the central working committee. He stated that no official designation is off the table if it helps bridge the existing divide.
A significant segment of leaders elected during the party's 14th general convention remains excluded from the core leadership structure. Addressing this gap, Thapa proposed bringing these individuals into the current central body with full dignity, offering senior leadership roles tailored to their standing.
Furthermore, the party chief revealed his openness to adjusting the upcoming general convention's election committee. He indicated that appointments to this crucial body could be made based on the recommendations and consensus of the estranged leaders.
