Newly disclosed U.S. Department of Justice files tied to Jeffrey Epstein contain draft emails in which Epstein made allegations about Bill Gates’ personal health, claims that Gates’ representatives have firmly denied as false.
The documents, part of millions of investigation records released by the DOJ, include messages Epstein wrote to himself that reference an alleged sexually transmitted infection and supposed efforts to conceal it. The drafts also mention requests for antibiotics and describe private matters, but they are presented as Epstein’s unverified assertions rather than established findings.
A spokesperson for Gates, in a statement reported by PEOPLE, called the allegations “completely false” and said the material reflects Epstein’s hostility after failing to maintain a relationship with the Microsoft co-founder. The spokesperson said the documents show attempts to defame and entrap rather than prove misconduct.
Reporting by The Sunday Times indicates the drafts appeared styled as if written for Boris Nikolic, a former science adviser linked to the Gates Foundation, though there is no confirmation he authored or knew about the messages. Bloomberg earlier reported that Nikolic had no business relationship with Epstein.
The DOJ release also includes previously published images showing Epstein with several high-profile figures, including Gates. Gates has earlier acknowledged meeting Epstein and later described those interactions as a serious error in judgment. The document release is likely to keep scrutiny on historic Epstein associations without, so far, establishing the specific claims made in the drafts as factual.
