Kathmandu. The controversy surrounding a news report published by Diyo Post Online linking the Chief Justice and a parliamentarian to a 'bribe' and a fixer in the United States has taken a new turn. Issuing a press release regarding the report, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, clarified that he has no direct or indirect involvement, acquaintance, or contact with the persons and context mentioned in the news. Stating that he was not even serving as Chief Justice during that period, Dr. Sharma strongly condemned the news, describing it as baseless, false, and fabricated.

Following the release of the Chief Justice's rebuttal statement, police reached Diyo Post's office in Anamnagar and intensified inquiries and investigation. Sudip Bishwokarma, Editor-in-Chief of Diyo Post who entered journalism from the Dalit community, is known in the communication sector as a journalist who continuously publishes controversial and unbalanced news. Criticized within media circles for writing without evidence and balance and for possessing an erratic disposition, Bishwokarma now faces allegations of disseminating misleading content aimed at tarnishing the image of the state's highest judicial leadership.

It is understood that police are preparing to take the editorial leadership into custody and initiate strict legal action for disseminating news in violation of basic journalistic ethos and code of conduct. This series of raids and interrogations, triggered by the Chief Justice's statement and police action, has now sparked serious debate and waves across the entire Nepali communication sector.
