A high-level government probe has been launched after a pregnant woman was forced to give birth outside the premises of Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Hospital in Rajbiraj. In response to the institutional failure, Nepal's Ministry of Health and Population has issued a 24-hour ultimatum demanding a formal explanation from the hospital administration.
A five-member investigative delegation was dispatched to Rajbiraj today to assess the situation on the ground. The probe team comprises Dr. Suprabhat Shrestha, Registrar of the Nepal Medical Council, Dr. Ajay Shah from the Ethical Committee, and Dr. Pawan Jung Rayamajhi, Chief of the ministry's Curative Services Division.

Concurrently, the hospital management is preparing to form an internal inquiry committee to examine the operational oversights that led to the incident.
