A late-night narcotics sweep by the authorities has resulted in the detention of two individuals suspected of running an illicit drug operation in the capital. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb the distribution of dangerous substances within local communities.

Acting on credible intelligence regarding a narcotics transaction, a specialized law enforcement team deployed from the Koteshwor Police Division initiated the raid late at night on the 26th of Chaitra, 2082.

The operation culminated at a guest house in the Gaushala area at approximately 11:45 PM, where the suspects had been residing. Upon searching the individuals and their temporary accommodation, officers discovered a significant stash of illicit materials.

Law enforcement officials confiscated exactly 30.42 grams of a powdery substance closely resembling brown heroin. Alongside the suspected narcotics, police also recovered a sum of 57,000 Nepalese Rupees in cash, believed to be the direct proceeds of drug sales.

The individuals taken into police custody have been identified as 26-year-old Madhav Kumar Sah, originally from Sabaila Municipality-2 in Dhanusha district, and 32-year-old Mina Kumari Adhikari, a resident of Dudhauli Municipality-4 in Sindhuli district.

Both suspects are currently being held as investigators work to trace the broader supply chain connected to this seizure. Authorities are preparing to advance the legal proceedings as further details of the syndicate emerge.
