The Nepal Ex-Armed Police Force (APF) Association officially extended its congratulations to the newly appointed Inspector General (IG) Narayan Datta Paudel. During a ceremony held at the APF headquarters on May 8, the association's president, retired AIG Narayan Babu Thapa, formally honored the new chief.
IG Paudel addressed the gathering, defining the link between active personnel and retired veterans as a vital bridge between history and the present. He noted that the strength of this relationship directly dictates the institutional memory, capacity, and overall credibility of the force.
Reflecting on the organization's growth, the IG credited the current prestige and public trust of the APF to the sacrifices and professional dedication of its predecessors. He urged the veteran community to remain proactive in matters concerning the welfare and long-term image of the organization.
Former IG Sanat Kumar Basnet also spoke at the event, expressing confidence that the force would reach new milestones under Paudel’s leadership. He highlighted that each successive leader has historically contributed significantly to the evolution of the APF.
The event saw the participation of high-ranking officials, including Savitra Kumari Jaisi, President of the Armed Police Family Women's Association, alongside several retired and serving senior officers. The transition marks a continued focus on professional career development and institutional stability.
