The AI-powered creator marketing platform Veel has officially launched its services in Nepal and India, marking its first major expansion into the South Asian market. According to the company’s official announcement made in Kathmandu, Nepal, on July 16, 2026, the platform aims to integrate businesses and content creators into a unified ecosystem to streamline collaboration. The system allows brands to discover creators, manage campaigns, edit and approve video content, handle payments, and secure intellectual property rights on a single interface.

At the official launch event, which was attended by figures from the technology, startup, business, and diplomatic sectors, Veel Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dilip Dhakal emphasized the platform's long-term commitment to South Asia's creator economy. Dhakal stated that the region is home to millions of talented creators who deserve world-class technology to collaborate, grow, and compete globally. He noted that the infrastructure provided by Veel will help creators build sustainable careers while enabling brands to achieve growth through authentic content.

The event featured Charge d’Affaires of the U.S. Mission to Nepal, Scott Urbom, and the Honorary Consul General of Costa Rica to Nepal and Managing Director of Global Equity Fund, Dr. Manish Thapa, as guests of honor. Highlighting the entrepreneurial ties between the nations, Urbom stated that Veel represents an excellent example of connecting American entrepreneurship with Nepali talent to foster mutual prosperity. The platform, founded by Nepali-American entrepreneur Dilip Dhakal, replaces traditional reliance on disparate emails, spreadsheets, and messaging apps by centralizing the campaign lifecycle.

Under the platform's operational model, businesses outline campaign details, target audiences, and content requirements, while creators apply directly or are selected via an AI-driven recommendation engine. Selected creators utilize integrated video editing tools and licensed music to produce content, which is then reviewed, modified, and approved by brands before payment is automatically disbursed via the Veel wallet. Currently, the platform connects over 450 brands and 550,000 verified creators across 121 countries, with local access facilitated through the website for businesses and a dedicated app for creators.
To facilitate seamless local financial transactions, Veel has secured strategic payment partnerships with major domestic networks in Nepal, including NCHL, Fonepay, eSewa, Khalti, and Hamro Pay. Businesses will utilize NCHL for transactions, creators will receive disbursements through Hamro Pay, and both entities can utilize Fonepay, eSewa, and Khalti for localized processing. This comprehensive financial integration is designed to establish a sustainable operational foundation for the regional creator ecosystem moving forward.
