KATHMANDU — Nepal’s digital workforce is receiving a strategic boost as Samsung Nepal officially opens enrollments for its new Artificial Intelligence (AI) training initiative. The move follows the graduation of the latest cohort from the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Coding & Programming course, which ran from December 22, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
Designed to address growing global demands for specialized tech capability, the upcoming AI curriculum focuses on practical applications to solve local development challenges. By coupling real-world problem-solving with advanced technology, the program aims to elevate career prospects for young developers across the country.
The previous six-month coding track provided participants with intensive technical immersion, industry exposure, and hands-on project work. Graduates were formally recognized during a completion ceremony celebrating their transition into the local tech talent pool.
According to Samsung Nepal Managing Director Chang Uk Jung, equipping the youth with digital toolsets is critical as artificial intelligence reshapes global markets. Speaking at the event, Jung emphasized that cultivating local capability remains central to leading Nepal's broader digital evolution.
To sustain long-term professional development, Samsung Nepal confirmed that industry experts and company personnel will offer direct career counseling and project guidance to program participants. Furthermore, the tech enterprise announced plans to establish a dedicated Samsung Innovation Campus Alumni Network to facilitate peer collaboration and ongoing learning.
Operating under Samsung’s corporate social responsibility vision "Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People," the program has operated locally since 2023. Industry observers note that cross-sector alignment between academic institutions, private enterprises, and government bodies will be essential to expanding Nepal’s emerging AI ecosystem.
