The visit of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and his wife Nikita Poudel to India for a three-day religious tour via the Dhangadhi border has generated new interest and waves in political circles. Considering Lamichhane's security risk and political stature, the Government of India has provided tight VIP security arrangements throughout the tour. In the first phase of the visit, the Lamichhane couple offered prayers at the famous Kainchi Dham pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand, photos of which have already been released.

Following their visit to Kainchi Dham, the route taken by the Lamichhane couple has been kept highly secretive. It is speculated that they departed toward major cities such as New Delhi or Lucknow using Pantnagar Airport (about 70 km away) or Bareilly Airport (about 140 km away), which are nearest to Kainchi Dham. Since direct flights from Kainchi Dham to Guwahati in Assam are not readily available, using international airports in New Delhi (about 320 km) or Lucknow (about 350 km) appears technically more feasible. Analysts claim that by utilizing long layovers and transit times, Lamichhane may have held high-level political meetings and dialogues in major Indian cities.

After concluding the series of city visits and secret meetings, the Lamichhane couple is scheduled to reach the popular Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, located approximately 20 kilometers from the Kamakhya Temple. Upon landing in Guwahati, they plan to visit the historic Kamakhya Devi Temple, offer special prayers, and release photos afterward. However, sources claim that details of the core political activities and meetings between Kainchi Dham and Kamakhya Temple will remain entirely confidential.

As speculation intensifies in Nepal regarding a political storm that could overturn the ruling power and political equations immediately after major festivals like Dashain and Tihar, Kathmandu's political establishment is viewing Rabi's India visit and internal maneuvers under special Indian security cover as highly significant.
