Kathmandu — Nepal's most popular comedian Kedar Ghimire, known as 'Magne Budha', has migrated to the United States. While the country is witnessing a new wave of hope and excitement for good governance and development after Balendra Shah (Balen) became Prime Minister, the established artist Ghimire has flown to America.

According to sources, Ghimire has reached America with his family not just for a musical program or a short visit, but with the objective of obtaining a 'Green Card' (Permanent Residency).

Upon reaching America, he has modified his profession by shifting towards 'content creation' (video production). The videos he has created, covering life in America, the struggles there, and fun aspects, are becoming very popular on social media. Although the audience likes his videos, they are giving mixed reactions regarding his stay in America.

Thousands of fans are disappointed that 'Magne Budha', who ruled the Nepali television and film industry for a long time, moved abroad after not seeing a future in his own country. "The person who brought a smile to everyone's face on screen did not see a future in the country," many are expressing grief on social media.

Recently, after the Balen-led government took office, a positive atmosphere has been created among the youth that something must and can be done within the country. However, at such an encouraging time, the decision of a top artist who earned both fame and money in Nepal to choose a foreign land has surprised many.

Analysts say that even if there are political changes and a hopeful atmosphere in the country, the migration of successful and established talents in search of Green Cards depicts the serious condition of Nepal.
