New Delhi / Kathmandu — A meeting was held between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin and Nepal-based Rastriya Ekta Dal Chairman Vinay Yadav. During the meeting between Yadav, who is currently in India, and Nabin, discussions were reportedly held on Nepal-India bilateral relations, the contemporary political and social situation of both countries, and the historical importance of the shared Sanatan civilization.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on further strengthening the religious, cultural, social, and people-to-people ties that have existed between Nepal and India since ancient times. Discussions were also held on advancing the historical proximity and shared cultural heritage between the two countries as a crucial foundation for mutual relations.
Rastriya Ekta Dal Chairman Yadav is preparing to launch a Mechi-Mahakali foot march in Nepal starting from Mangsir 4 (November 20) with the main agenda of 'Hindu Protection and Hindu Nation'. As part of the preparations for this campaign and during his stay in India, he has been advancing meetings and dialogue with the Indian political leadership.
In addition to religious and cultural ties, issues such as open borders, family relations, trade, tourism, and people-to-people movement hold special significance between Nepal and India. In this context, the meeting aimed at making the historical relations between the two countries more effective is viewed as a political and cultural dialogue.
The meeting is expected to build an atmosphere for further dialogue regarding the historical, religious, and cultural ties between Nepal and India.
