Kathmandu: In a landmark move towards sustainable energy, Nepal has officially become the 101st member of the *International Solar Alliance (ISA)*. The announcement was made during a special event in New Delhi, where Nepal’s Charge d'Affaires, *Surendra Thapa*, handed over the Instrument of Ratification to ISA officials, marking the country's formal inclusion in the global solar coalition.

The *ISA*, launched by India and France in 2015, aims to harness the power of solar energy among member countries and accelerate solar projects worldwide. As the newest member, Nepal will gain access to innovative solar technologies, financial support, and expertise to boost its renewable energy capabilities.

The Indian Embassy’s tweet read: "Nepal becomes the 101st member of the International Solar Alliance." This momentous decision underscores Nepal's increasing focus on green energy solutions and its commitment to mitigating environmental challenges.

By joining the ISA, Nepal is set to leverage international cooperation in solar energy, positioning itself as a key player in the global shift towards renewable energy.
