Raghu Nandan Maru of Shivam Cement Elected as Chairman of Nepal Cement Manufacturers' Association
Raghu Nandan Maru, the Managing Director of Shivam Cement, has been unanimously elected as the chairman of the Nepal Cement Manufacturers' Association following an election held on Friday. The association's 20th Annual General Meeting selected Maru to lead the association for the next three years.
Maru, who has been actively involved in the cement industry for many years, is expected to address both short-term and long-term challenges within the sector as Nepal moves toward self-sufficiency in cement production. He emphasized the need for cooperation between the private sector and the government to resolve issues related to cement production, quality, market management, and industry stability.

The 20th Annual General Meeting of the Nepal Cement Manufacturers' Association has also elected the following members to the new executive committee:
- Vice-Chairman: Dhruba Thapa
- Vice-Presidents: Tara Pokharel and Vikas Dugad
- General Secretary: Rajaram Khadka
- Treasurer: Arun Karna
