Russian Women's Volleyball Team Meets with Prime Minister
Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized the need to rejuvenate the longstanding relationship between Nepal and Russia on the basis of mutual benefit and respect.
During a meeting with the Russian women's volleyball team at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli recalled the assistance Nepal has received from Russia in various sectors such as education and transportation since the time of the Soviet Union. He praised Russia as a powerhouse in sports, particularly in volleyball, and viewed the friendly match between the two countries' volleyball teams positively.
Prime Minister Oli stressed the importance of not only these sporting events but also the meaningful continuation of cultural exchanges, including Russia's famous circus and Nepal's traditional dance and orchestra.
