Prime Minister Balendra Shah has departed for Vidur in Nuwakot by road at 9:30 AM today to conduct an on-site inspection of flood-affected areas. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal is also accompanying the Prime Minister on this visit.
The Prime Minister has been continuously active in making rescue and relief operations effective since yesterday, when flooding through Rasuwa's Bhote Koshi caused damage to riverbank areas. Following the flood, he convened high-level meetings, issued necessary directives to subordinate bodies, and facilitated ongoing coordination efforts.

Although multiple locations suffered damage due to the disaster, time constraints have limited today's inspection primarily to Vidur and nearby affected settlements in Nuwakot. During the visit, the Prime Minister's team will obtain direct information on physical damage caused by the floods.
Furthermore, the team is scheduled to hold discussions with local administration, security agencies, and public representatives regarding immediate relief, rehabilitation, and the operationalization of obstructed infrastructure. The visit aims to ensure prompt relief and swift restoration of essential infrastructure in the impacted regions.
