A team of the Armed Police deployed from the election security base in Beldangi conducted a vehicle inspection in Damak Municipality-7 of Jhapa district and discovered cash inside a scooter during the check, according to a written report.
The inspection took place near Shripali Chowk where the security personnel were checking vehicles moving through the area. During the operation, the team stopped and inspected a scooter bearing registration number Province 1–02–050 Pa 5398 that was traveling from south to north.
During the inspection, officers reportedly found Rs 127,000 in cash inside the scooter’s storage compartment. Following the discovery, the scooter, the cash amount, and the individual associated with the vehicle were taken under control by the security personnel.
The report states that the cash, the scooter, and the individual were later handed over under official responsibility. A receipt document confirming the handover was prepared, bearing signatures and stamps to acknowledge the transfer and custody of the items.
