During her official visit to India, Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, had a rare and significant courtesy meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting focused on ways to further strengthen India-Nepal cooperation in various mutually beneficial areas. The visit has also marked significant achievements in the bilateral relationship. Nepal is now poised to export nearly 1000 MW of electricity to India, opening up a new revenue stream for Nepal. The two sides discussed the implementation of long-term power trade agreements, reflecting the progress in energy sector cooperation.
Additionally, sports collaboration between India and Nepal has reached new heights, with the recent training provided to the Nepali cricket team at India’s National Cricket Academy, setting the stage for enhanced sports ties between the two nations.
