Kathmandu: Nepal's Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba met with her Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar, on Monday during her official visit to India. Jaishankar welcomed Minister Rana to India with a post on X.com, stating, "Welcome @Arzuranadeuba of Nepal on her first visit to India as Foreign Minister. Looking forward to our talks."

This marks Minister Rana's first visit to India as Foreign Minister, which comes at the invitation of Jaishankar. During the bilateral talks, the discussions are expected to focus on mutual interests, cooperation, and further strengthening of ties between the two nations, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Rana is also scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi later today, though the exact time of the meeting has not been finalized. In her honor, Nepal's Acting Ambassador Thapa hosted a dinner at the Nepalese Embassy in Barakhamba on Sunday evening.
