Kathmandu. Beyond the exciting battle between bat and ball on the cricket pitch, outstanding players will now hold a shining silver ball in their hands. To elevate the excitement of cricket in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Xtreme Energy Drink will award a silver ball to top performers through the 'Xtreme Man of the Match' award.
In the third edition of the NPL featuring eight teams, Xtreme has secured sponsorship partnerships with seven teams. Outstanding players from these seven teams will be presented with the silver ball under the 'Xtreme Man of the Match' title. An interesting aspect of this award is that when two Xtreme-sponsored teams compete against each other, not only a player from the winning team, but one top performer from each team will be honored with a silver ball.
The silver ball journey has already begun from the very first match of the NPL. Sher Malla, who delivered an outstanding performance in the match between Sudurpaschim Royals and Lumbini Lions, became the first player to receive the silver ball under the 'Xtreme Man of the Match' award.
By honoring players' exceptional performances and inspiring further enthusiasm and competitive spirit, Xtreme's initiative is expected to enhance the thrill of the NPL. Additionally, the company expressed confidence that this move will energize the growing attraction toward Nepali cricket and the enthusiasm of supporters. Alongside the goal of winning matches on the NPL field, the opportunity to link one's name with the silver ball through great performance has become another attraction for players.
