Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended congratulations to Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and senior leader Balen Shah following their recent electoral victories in Nepal.

According to a message shared by Modi on the social media platform X, the Indian leader held a cordial telephone conversation with both Lamichhane and Shah. During the call, he congratulated them on their individual election wins and acknowledged the strong performance of the Rastriya Swatantra Party in Nepal’s recent elections.

The communication highlighted the political significance of the results, which have brought new leadership figures into prominence within Nepal’s evolving political landscape.

Modi also conveyed his best wishes for the formation of Nepal’s upcoming government and emphasized India’s commitment to working closely with Nepal for shared prosperity and progress.

Reaffirming the importance of bilateral cooperation, the Indian Prime Minister expressed confidence that continued collaboration between the two countries would help elevate India–Nepal relations in the years ahead.
