Kathmandu. The Border Outpost (BOP) of the Armed Police Force (APF) located in the Bhotekoshi Tatopani area of Sindhupalchok district, the busiest trading point on the Nepal-China border, has been damaged by a landslide. However, no human casualties have been reported in the incident.
According to the Armed Police Force, a landslide occurred at around 1:15 PM on Thursday from a hill approximately 200 to 300 meters high located northwest of the BOP. Along with the landslide, large rocks reached the BOP complex, causing damage to various structures located there.
Due to the landslide, a window glass of the first-line barracks shattered, while the wall and tin roof of the second-line barracks were punctured in several places. Additionally, one duty post was completely damaged, while another duty post was partially damaged. The national flag pole located on the premises was also completely damaged.
According to the Armed Police Force, the bathroom, store building, and the staircase in front of the main entrance were also damaged. No security personnel were reported killed or injured in the incident.
