Kathmandu — In response to growing public concern over the availability of cooking gas, Nepal Oil Corporation has announced a structured distribution plan for Nepal Gas across the Kathmandu Valley today. The move aims to stabilize supply and restore consumer confidence after reports of shortages in recent days.
According to the corporation, Nepal Gas will be supplied from 84 designated locations across the Valley, with a total of 6,870 cylinders scheduled for distribution. Officials said the disclosure was made to ensure transparency and help consumers access gas without confusion or panic buying.
Nepal Oil Corporation has also clarified that the volume of gas imports has been increased and that there is currently no overall supply crisis. The corporation emphasized that distribution is being managed to meet daily demand efficiently.
Nepal Gas has urged consumers to purchase cylinders only from nearby authorized dealers and avoid unnecessary stockpiling. Given the high concentration of consumers in Kathmandu, the company said disciplined purchasing behavior will help maintain smooth supply in the coming days as well.
