Abu Dhabi, April 11. To make the process of search, rescue, compensation, and repatriating the bodies of deceased Nepali citizens in foreign employment more convenient and systematic, the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi has requested that all applications be mandatorily registered through the online portal.
All concerned individuals, authorities, social organizations, and relatives must now submit their applications via the online portal (https://legal.nepalconsular.gov.np/) brought into operation some time ago by the Department of Consular Services in Tripureshwor. According to the embassy, this provision has been made mandatory to maintain official records and bring uniformity to the proceedings.
Applications registered through this portal by various municipalities, District Administration Offices, the Consular Department, or individually will directly reach the embassies of the respective countries. Arrangements have been made so that the embassy will directly enter updates on the actions taken regarding the received applications into the system, and applicants can easily view the status of their applications.
Required Details and Conditions for Application Registration:
-
In case of Search and Rescue: A copy of the passport and Emirates ID, along with details of the working Emirate and company of the person to be searched, must be mandatorily disclosed.
-
Contact Details: The relationship between the applicant and the concerned person, as well as the contact number, must be clear.
-
In case of Compensation: Applications related to compensation can only be submitted by the legal heir through the respective municipality or the Consular Department.
Important Information Issued by the Embassy:
-
No Need for Double Registration: An application once registered in the system does not need to be repeatedly registered by others.
-
Easy Access and Tracking: The concerned applicants can view the status/update of their applications online by themselves.
-
Applications Can Be Submitted from Anywhere: Family members or relatives of the concerned person can register an application on this portal from any location.
Through a notice issued on April 10, the embassy has requested everyone to fully utilize this system, which has been brought into operation with the objective of making grievance redressal, search, and rescue processes fast, efficient, and transparent.
